The Gator Block Bond Xtra Performance is heat resistant up to 400°F (204°C), normally the parts of a BBQ that need to be glued do not get hotter than this – however check with the BBQ manufacturer on expected operating temperatures. It is for the surrounding of the fire pit not in the pit.
Use Gator Rubber, Paint and Tar Remover + also soak your hands in warm water and scrub with soap – wear plastic gloves to prevent this from happening.
This is best done before the glue dries, scrape or wipe off the excess glue, careful not to smear it over a greater area – then apply Alliance Rubber Paint and Tar Remover and wipe – continue to reapply until completely gone.
The glossy appearance of the Rock Bond binder will fade over time. This does not cause any weakening of the bond and the gloss can be restored with an application of Wet Look Sealer.
It takes a full 24 to 48 hours to cure and depends on how thick a layer has been applied. It is very important that there be no rain for a least 24 hours. Open working time is about 20 minutes it will vary with temperature and humidity.
While the Rock Bond is still wet, you can use Alliance Gatorene, It can also be pressure washed off if it has not dried.
